General terms and conditions of service

1. Purpose and scope

These General Terms and Conditions of Services (hereinafter «GTS») govern all services provided by Helvetia Park via its website helvetiapark.ch or by telephone.

They define the rights and obligations of the parties within the framework of the valet parking (pick-up, parking and drop-off) near the airport.

All bookings imply unreserved acceptance of these GTS by the customer (hereinafter referred to as «the Customer»).

2. Service description

Helvetia Park offers a valet parking service including :

  1. Reception of the customer's vehicle at the agreed meeting point (usually the airport terminal).
  2. Transfer of the vehicle by a Helvetia Park driver to a private, secure parking lot.
  3. Parking the vehicle for the agreed duration.
  4. The return of the vehicle to the customer at the meeting point on his return.

3. Reservation and Contract Conclusion

3.1 How to reserve

Reservations can be made via :

  • The online form on helvetiapark.ch.
  • By telephone +41 79 396 30 11.
  • By e-mail to contact@helvetiapark.ch.

3.2 Information required

The Customer undertakes to provide accurate information: surname, first name, telephone number, vehicle model and registration, dates and times of flight (departure and arrival). Helvetia Park cannot be held responsible for the consequences of incorrect information provided by the Customer.

3.3 Confirmation

The contract is deemed to have been concluded when Helvetia Park sends you a booking confirmation by e-mail or SMS. Helvetia Park reserves the right to refuse a reservation due to lack of availability.

4. Rates and payment

4.1. Prices

Prices are indicated in Swiss francs (CHF) on the website and are calculated according to the parking time. Helvetia Park reserves the right to modify its rates at any time, but the price invoiced to the customer will be that in force at the time the reservation is validated.

4.2 Terms of payment

Payment is made according to the terms indicated at the time of booking (generally in cash or by credit card on the day of pick-up, or online pre-payment if the site allows).

4.3. Supplements

  • Delay : If the parking time specified in the reservation is exceeded, additional charges may be levied, calculated on a 24-hour basis.
  • Night shifts / Public holidays : A surcharge may apply for pick-ups and drop-offs between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am (see price list on site).

5. Service operation

5.1. Takeover (Departure)

The customer must arrive at the meeting point at the agreed time. He must hand over the vehicle keys and related documents (registration document) to the valet. A summary inventory of the vehicle (mileage, apparent damage) may be carried out by both parties. If the customer refuses this inspection, no claims concerning the condition of the vehicle will be accepted at a later date.

5.2. Return

The customer undertakes to inform Helvetia Park as soon as he/she lands (by call or SMS). The vehicle will be returned to the meeting point. In the event of a long flight delay or unannounced schedule change, Helvetia Park cannot be held responsible for any waiting time for the return of the vehicle.

6. Customer obligations and responsibilities

The Customer certifies that :

  • He is the owner of the vehicle or authorized to use it.
  • The vehicle is insured and in perfect working order (roadworthiness test up to date, tires compliant, etc.).
  • The vehicle contains no illicit or dangerous objects.

The customer must leave only those items necessary for driving in the vehicle. It is not advisable to leave valuables (telephones, computers, jewelry) in the passenger compartment.

7. Helvetia Park responsibilities and insurance

7.1. Scope of liability

Helvetia Park has professional insurance covering damage to the vehicle. while in his care (travel to/from the parking lot and parking), provided that this damage is the result of a fault on the part of its staff.

7.2. Exclusions

Helvetia Park accepts no liability in the following cases:

  • Mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdowns while parked (flat battery, slow puncture, engine failure, etc.).
  • Minor damage (scratches, impacts) not reported at the time of the departure inventory or noted in the absence of a clean/dry vehicle (bad weather, night).
  • Theft of personal effects left inside the vehicle (except in the case of proven negligence on the part of the valet, e.g. vehicle left open).
  • Damage caused by force majeure events (hail, storms, floods, riots).

7.3. Claims

Any complaint concerning the condition of the vehicle must be made to immediately upon return, before the Customer leaves the meeting point. No subsequent claims will be taken into account.

8. Cancellation and Modification

8.1. By the customer

  • Modification : Possible free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time, subject to availability.
  • Cancellation :
    • More than 48 hours before departure: free cancellation.
    • Less than 48 hours before departure: Helvetia Park reserves the right to charge a lump sum or retain any deposit.

8.2. By Helvetia Park

In the event of force majeure or technical impossibility, Helvetia Park may cancel the reservation. The customer will receive a full refund of any sums paid, without being entitled to claim any additional compensation.

9. Privacy Policy

The processing of the Customer's personal data is subject to our Privacy Policy, available on the helvetiapark.ch. The customer accepts that his data will be used to manage the reservation and provide the service.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Swiss law. In the event of a dispute which cannot be settled amicably, the place of jurisdiction shall be the registered office of Helvetia Park, subject to any mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law.
